Essentially a bastardised scone with what passes for sausage thrust twixt its what does stillborn baby look like. McDonald's abroad is usually such a brilliant experience. It's a soft sponge almost identical to the jaffa cake version. The biggest difference is the chocolate coating. It's a wee bit thinner with a tad more snap. If they're in America, the French language is more likely to be for the Canadians than for France. If anything, Europe would have a packaging and North America would have a packaging. These things are literally made in France and exported to the US.
After living in America for 35 years, I can confidently tell you that shit ain't subtitled French. I'm just not very good at writing sentences good. Did not know that! They have the raspberry version too but I go for the traditional orange. It's the closest i've been able to find in America so far. Brings back good memories. What is the question? I feel like having edge-to-edge orangey bit is overkill. You're supposed to nibble your way around the outside first, and then eat the middle in one bite once you've got all the boring non-orange parts out the way.
The way i like to do it is nibble around the edges, separate the orangey bit and chocolate with my teeth, and then eat eat the sponge circle last. I just shove the whole jaffa in my chops and have at it. Trader Joe's does orange tapioca sticks if you want something there's like Jaffa cakes but with no gelatin.
